The University of Dodoma invites  applications from suitably qualified applicants from any part of
the world to fill the following academic positions:

Professor

At   least   20   publications;   70%   of   the   publications   should   be   from
internationally   refereed   journals;   50%   of   publications   from   either   single
authored papers  or  from papers which the staff  to be promoted is the main

Basic Duties and Responsibilities of Professor/Associate professor/Senior Lecturer/ Lecturer:
Conducting research and develop niche areas
Teaching to undergraduate students/graduates/postgraduate students
Undertake all administration work as required for teaching and research purposes
Have excellent people skills towards student, parents and colleagues
Undertake, supervise and promote research
Involved in all administrative and academic activities of the depar tment

Other Benefits
Travel Assistance:
1.
Economy class air ticket from an international point of departure to Tanzania i.e. capital city
or any international airport one boards a plane to JKN International Airport (Dar es Salaam,
Tanzania).
Housing:
2.
The staff  will be provided with free housing. Housing in this context means a house of a flat,
a bed sitter or a hotel room.
Gratuity:
3.
The staff  will be entitled to twenty five per centum (25%) of his/her salary upon satisfactory
completion of the contract subject to withholding for such income tax as may be payable
thereon.
Medical Benefits:
4.
The University of Dodoma will contribute 3% of one’s basic salary to the National Health Insurance
Fund. The staff member will be required to pay him/her self the remaining 3% of his/her basic salary.
Important Notice
Applicants with Cer tificates, Transcript, Diplomas etc issued in languages other than English,
(i)
must submit official translation of  their certificates together with application packages.  The
translations must be dully signed and sealed by the translating organizations.
Successful  Applicants  will   be  required  to  apply  for  resident  and  work  permits   and  pay
(ii)
appropriate fee upon their arrival in Tanzania. The University official will only assist them in
completing the process.
Certificates/transcripts/Diploma shall be  subjected to scrutiny of  the Tanzania Commission
(iii)
for Universities.
Applicants  holding  Indian  Passports  or  other   nationals   residing  in  India  must  send  their
(iv)
applications to EdCIL India. Russian nationals must send their  application to the Ministry of
Education, (Vneshobrazovenia) Moscow.
